Welcome to our adoption blog! We're so glad that you are here.

We realize that those who are reading this fall into two main groups; family and friends who are supporting us in this journey and prospective birth parents who may be considering placing their child in our family. In both cases we are so grateful that you've taken the time to be here. Thank you.

After several years of trying to conceive a child, including many unsuccessful infertility treatments, we were blessed to adopt our precious son. Our adoption experience has been absolutely wonderful. We knew as soon as we brought our son home, that we would do it again. So here we are!

We try every day to teach Sam the values of hard work and kindness, the importance of education, and a love of God. And, of course, we want him to know how to have fun! We will do this with each child who comes into our family.

We hope that our children will have the opportunity to know their birth families. We feel that you are an important part of their identity and where they come from. We know that as birth parents, placing your child is a tremendous act of love. We saw this with our son's birthmother. She is the strongest person we know. We are so proud to have her in our family. We keep a very open adoption with Sam's birthmother (b-ma) and birthgrandmother (b-nana). If you place your child in our family, we will make sure they always know how much they are loved by you. Our hope is that you can tell them yourself. We understand this can be done in many different ways and we are open to sending emails, pictures, phone calls, and visits. However, if you desire less contact it is understandable and we will respect your wishes.
