About Sam

Sam in the hospital after he was born.
Samuel is a goof. He makes us laugh in so many ways and is a total boy with lots of spunk. Sam loves reading books. We read books throughout the day and just before bed. His favorite book is about a Little Blue Truck that makes a lot of friends.

Sam loves our dog Dity and will chase her around (which she patiently tolerates). He also loves playing outside in the grass and swinging. He is a busy boy. He could care less about watching TV and is always running around. He just loves to explore the world. His perfect day would be to play outside all day long with the dog.

Grandma photo bombing!
We were able to have both sets of grandparents present when we finalized Sam's adoption. We love that we have such supportive and loving families. We also had a huge (as in Patricia has 7 siblings and Ryan has 3 siblings---and most of them have kids) party when we had Samuel sealed to us in the temple. We had most of our family there, as well as Sam's birth grandmother.

Samuel's sealing day.
Officially ours! Both of our parents were able to be there for the big day!

Sam loves people. He will smile and laugh at people in church and wherever we go. He is not afraid of being with strangers and will be friends with almost anyone he meets. We know he will love having a sibling to play with and get into trouble with. :)

Spending time with Sam's b-ma and b-nana for his first birthday.

We adore Sam's birthmother and birthgrandmother. We have a really great relationship with them and love to spend time with them whenever we can. We consider them a part of our family. We love having an open adoption. Sam loves it too. :) They came to visit for Sam's first birthday. We spent time together at the zoo, they met our families, and we ate way too much birthday cake together (of course).
